Just before the sun disappears into the sea, nature stages its final, most dramatic act.

Heavy clouds gather across the sky, yet the light refuses to yield. The fiery sun finds openings between them, casting ribbons of gold and orange across the sky.

I was captivated by this contrast: the weight of darkness against the persistence of light. The water, like a mirror, receives the reflections and sends them back, while the dark mountain stands as a silent witness to this final moment of the day.

I painted this moment because it reminded me that light does not need to prevail in order to be powerful. It only needs to find a way through.

And perhaps, sometimes, the deepest beauty lies precisely just before departure.
